Concrete and white laminate and silk matt minimalist slab door kitchen by Lima Kitchens Ltd

The decision to opt for a true handle-less kitchen in Otto was befitting to the personal taste of the clients, opting on Concrete for its textural patterned look paired elegantly with Matt White; tying in elements of the room together. The use of Neff appliances in stainless steel finish blends with the Concrete finish, keeping the eye focused on the overall design.

The benefit of tall ceilings in this space provided opportunity for extra storage capacity and flexibility in the main working part of the kitchen finished in Concrete. Framing the top of units in a row of simple white frontals discreetly offers an impressive amount of additional storage. All those less frequently used kitchen items such as bulky Tupperware, baking equipment and other little extras are neatly stored away out of sight, leaving a clutter free environment. Equally it is great use for storing away replenishment items making room for the more important everyday goods below.

Flowing down to the kitchen designed superbly in Concrete, the units are cleverly streamlined along the wall with double oven housing units followed by ample amounts of wall and base cabinets. The smoked effect splashback is a clever use of reflecting the surrounding room to make the space feel bigger paired with under cabinet strip lighting for ambience.

The wonderfully wavy Cambria Roxwell worktop captured the clients interest, being a stand out feature in the kitchen somewhat harmonises with the Concrete frontals. The island shows the worktop material in greater detail fabricated in a waterfall fashion, creating a design centrepiece. Summery green fabric stools are neatly tucked under the illuminated breakfast bar with power sockets useful for small entertainment devices.

Once before an outdated and dreary looking kitchen now transformed into a modernistic and sleek open plan kitchen/dining area blends elements of the outside inside. Redefining an existing space makes all the difference as it achieves a refreshed, constructive and social enhancement to the space for the family which is exactly what the clients hoped for.
