The couple wanted a ‘false’ chimney breast to be built to accommodate their existing range and tiny cupboards to be inset in the chimney breast as a handy condiment store while cooking. They particularly liked the idea of in-frame cupboards and drawers for added character as well as a bookcase in the same style. The Thorpes chose a Langton shaker-style in-frame kitchen in painted Mink and Putty, with a mix of cupboards and drawers which provide plenty of easy-access storage. The kitchen is completed by stylish Silestone worktops, Blanco sink and Quooker boiling water tap. The fit also included new Neff appliances - microwave, dishwasher, and extractor hood. The clients were looking to revamp their tired looking 20 year old cottage-style kitchen and were wanted something more modern. The new units in the utility provided more storage space, and the kitchen now leads nicely out to the conservatory extension. The entire project was managed by KF Kitchens, including the kitchen fitting, plumbing, plastering, electrics and decorating all taking three weeks with the complete installation.
