Our clients are a modern expanding family and had made the decision to extend the kitchen in order to get a kitchen/diner that they could spend time in as a family, as well as entertain in. They wanted the kitchen to feel a part of the room as well as being separated from it. We achieved this with the use of a peninsula - keeping it open but also in its own space. They wanted the room to be in keeping with the Victorian house as well as modern and trendy. We used Lansdowne painted in Slate with Carrara marble style worktops with matt white metro tiles to set off the whole design. The client could not be happier with the final result.
